Jeremy and Jacki Seamster Slideshow

It's FINALLY here! I have been working way too long on these photos from my recent Maui wedding. There were so many beautiful photos to go through plus I had a computer crash and a major car wreck. Thank you Jeremy and Jacki for you patience! The photos are amazing and I want you all to enjoy them in this slideshow...

Sepia gives a different feel to your best photos

I am becoming a big fan of sepia tone. I just love the way it changes the emotion and feel of a photograph. My clients can change any of their photos to sepia or black and white when they order them. I have started to include some photos already in sepia and black and white. Why? Well, sometimes you never will guess how amazing a photo can look in a different tone until you actually see it that way. Some of my clients will never guess to look at a photo in black and white or sepia before ordering it. So I show them some of the best images in sepia along side the color image. I even surprise myself sometimes when I see a great color photo in sephia. Look at the one below for example. This is a photo I shot in Maui a few weeks ago. I really like the color version but wanted to see what it looked like in sepia. I really liked what I saw. Each photo, both being the same except for color, brings out a different emotion and feeling. It is like trying to decide between Strawberry Cheesecake or Chocalate Oreo Creme Pie!

On the road again

No, this is not a post about Willie Nelson. I just got a new car to replace my totaled Honda Passport. I contemplated getting another SUV but wanted better gas mileage. People that know me also know that I never buy an American car but I broke down and got a Dodge Intrepid. This car is great! It is sporty, has plenty of room for my photo equipment/clients, gets great gas mileage, and I got a great deal on it! Now that I am back on the road I am ready for wedding season to start so I can stop posting about car accidents and misfortunes. Hope everyone is having a blessed day! It is extremely cold here in Kansas City!

My Valentine is 6 years old

Happy Valentine's Day! My best friend Rachel had a sleep over with her nieces, Taylor and Savannah, the other night. I have been friends with Rachel for over 10 years so I have become like part of her family. Taylor just adores me and I think she is the most precious girl in the world. She made me this Valentine at their sleep over and even made Rachel call me that night...

Isn't she an amazing artist. Taylor may only be 6 years old but she made me feel special. I hope you had someone make you feel special this Valentine's Day. Leave me comments. I would love to hear your best Valentine's Day stories!

R.I.P Honda Passport

I will miss this truck! I came to find out that I didn't roll three times. I went to see the wreck site and I saw my tracks. It looks as if I went down into a concrete drainage ditch (about 15 feet) then up the other side (about 20 feet) through a barbwire fence before rolling upside down. I don't remember anything about the wreck itself after going off the road so I will never really know what happened. One thing is certain, l praise the Lord that he protected me that day! These are photos of my poor truck in the graveyard...

A Miracle Happened Today...

Hi everyone. I am so thankful to be writing this to you right now!!! Today, at 9:15am, I was in severe car accident. My truck slid off the road at 75mph in front of a semi and it rolled more then three times before landing upside down in a field. I don't remember anything after going off the road but I managed to climb out of my truck and walk fifty yards back up to the highway. A couple pulled over to see if I needed help and then the ambulance showed up and put me on a stretcher to take me to the hospital. They had to take me 40 miles back to Overland Park to a Trauma 1 hospital because of the severity of the accident. I couldn't remember the day or where I was at. I got to the hospital and was immediately hooked up to an IV. They took KAT scans and X-Rays of head, neck and back. I was completely free of any damage and was able to go home. I am soooo amazed! It is an absolute miracle! I was praying to Jesus the whole time my truck was rolling and it is like He was right there with me the whole time. I didn't even have a scratch on my body and my truck was pancaked with all the windows broken out. All my friends came together and my brother and dad immediately came up from Wichita. I am so blessed to have a rich amount of friends that love me. I could have been easily killed in this wreck and I am so very thankful for the protecting that the Lord gave me. The nurses even told me that it was a miracle and I had someone looking over me. I told them it was my Lord Jesus! I don't think you will understand how crazy it is that I am writing this right now. I will post pictures of my truck soon. Thanks to all my friends that were there for me and offered up prayer. I love you guys! I am so thankful to be alive today. I pray that Jesus will continue to show Himself through this accident. Be blessed today and live for Him!

Haleakala in Maui

When I was in Maui I went with JD to the top of Haleakala. Haleakala is the volcano that makes up 75% of the island of Maui. We left at 3am so we could get there before the sunrise. It was totally worth it! I think you will agree when you see these photos. It was so beautiful and surreal up there. God's creation is just so amazing and I have to give Him credit for these photos. The sky came in so many colors of orange, blue and purple in such a short period of time. I just couldn't stop shooting but at one point I just had to put my camera down and take it all in. Enjoy the beauty...
