Susan and Jared had an amazing wedding at Longview Mansion in Kansas City this last weekend. We had so much fun together! When Susan isn't laughing she is smiling and it is very contagious (even when I had my keys locked in my car and we were away from the mansion shooting photos with no ride back). Jared is such a cool guy too. He just adores Susan. Just watching him look at her made me think of how I want to feel about my wife if I ever get married. They both enjoy shooting photos together too. We had a great time with the engagement session and their wedding was no exception. We had over an hour to shoot around before the ceremony and got some wonderful shots. The weather was beautiful and the sky was bright blue for the outside ceremony at the fountain in front of the mansion. Check out the slideshow below and I will be posting more individual shots soon. Kansas Speedway Weekend

It's that time of year again when NASCAR comes to Kansas City. Every
year my brother comes up with his family and friends. They bring their
RVs and campout on the infield for four days. It puts you right there
in the action and it's a great time! Here I am on top of the RV
listening to the drivers on the headset. Have a great weekend!

I shot an amazing wedding this weekend in Wichita. Nicole and Andrew were an extremely fun 'no holds barred' couple which made for some spectacular wedding photos. They had their wedding in the beautiful Scottish Rite Center in downtown Wichita. This building is three stories of historical beauty! We had such a great time shooting photos in there before the ceremony and God even turned off the rain for us to go outside and shoot for awhile. Thanks Eric for having me shoot this wedding with you. Congratulations Nicole and Andrew!

Fun at First Friday

This photo was from First Friday last week. There was this artist with with paintings that looked like they came straight from a comic book and this one had two blank quote bubbles on it. I thought it would be fun to pretend being a comic book character and using the quote bubbles. Ashley got kind of lost in the background cause I only had my iPhone to take this shot. Now it's your turn to feel in the bubble with your favorite quote for me. Leave your answers in the comment section and I will post this photo again with the best quote in the bubble! New Horizon Ranch: Boots-n-Bling

This is the second year I volunteered my time to shoot the Auction/Fund Raising Dinner for New Horizon Ranch called Boots-n-Bling. I just love this organization! Brian Miller and his wife, Joy, started up New Horizon Ranch a couple years ago to help challenged kids grow through the use of horseback riding. You would be amazed at how this interaction with horses can really help these kids. I remember seeing one of the kids, Ivan, last year and his improvements in his mannerisms and social skills were more then impressive to me this year. It is no surprise that he was named NHR's Rider Of The Year. The dinner was held at the Lodge at Ironwoods in Leawood, Kansas. There was a great turn out and with the help of the auctioneers they raised over $80K. Carolyn Long from KCTV 5 was even there again to interview a parent of one of the kids. I was honored to capture the evening with my camera! Brian and Joy are the greatest couple and they really have a heart to help these kids. I was humbled by how selfish I can be when I see how much they give. God Bless you both and the kids of New Horizon Ranch.
